My husband and I met back in 2018 on a dating website. I believe it was Bumble. I always forget as I unfortunately had many experiences with dating apps while he only had 1. His sister encouraged him (forced him) to create a dating profile promising that she would help him meet someone great! We had been talking for a couple weeks and decided to meet in person. He planned (his sister planned) and made a reservation at a local fairly fancy restaurant. I reluctantly allowed him to come pick me up. Luckily I was living with my aunt at the time so I felt comfortable knowing that she would be home and close by if I needed her.
It was a Saturday evening, July 21st, and he showed up in his freshly washed and waxed GMC Sierra, texted me that he was in the driveway (I asked him not to honk of ring the bell because of the dog), and I came out to meet him. He was standing outside of the truck on the passenger side prepared to open the door for me. My heart melted. We went to dinner, enjoyed great conversations, amazing food, and a delectable dessert on a beautiful evening. It was love at first sight! <3

Our relationship progressed quickly. We moved in together after 8 months. We got engaged after a year and a half, and were married before we hit our 3 year anniversary.
We got engaged on January 1st 2020! Michael knew I always hated new years and he wanted to find a way to bring some positivity back to the day for me. He proposed in our driveway after we had come back from a walk since it was a nice day. We had spent the day un-decorating the house from Christmas and it was so nice that we decided to take a walk through the neighborhood. It was simple, casual, and random and I LOVED it!
The wedding planning started right away. We had our venue booked within the month, my appointment for a dress fitting was scheduled, our guest list was growing, and the creativity on themes and colors was in full force. Unfortunately, on March 13th 2020, life as we knew it changed. COVID had taken over our lives overnight. What we had hoped would have been a large wedding at a ocean front venue the following year, later became a small intimate dinner with our parents, siblings and significant others in the banquet space of a nice Italian restaurant. While I wish our wedding had gone as planned, the wedding we did have was amazing. Luckily, our honeymoon was not impacted and we got to experience a wonderful week in Mexico at the Excellence Riviera Cancun.

We had began our married life in a beautiful tropical paradise and were so looking forward to our future together. We were beyond ready to start a family. While we had 2 amazing dogs at home, we wanted more than anything to bring home a baby. I was already 34 when we got married so that clock was ticking louder than ever.

This was the morning of our wedding. I had just gotten my hair done.
When we came home from Mexico, we were so excited to see what the next few months would bring as had started our TTC (Trying to conceive) journey right away! A month later, I was shocked to discover that my period was late. I say “shocked” lightly as we were very active in doing married couple things ;). I was more shocked that it potentially happened so quickly and easily. Unfortunately, I wasn’t pregnant. Since I was one who was ALWAYS regular and NEVER had any issues with my cycles in the past, I called my doctor to express concern. After some testing over the next few weeks, we were informed that my doctor wanted to refer us to a fertility clinic for further evaluation.
And so begins our Infertility Journey……
